Nachdem ich nun seit dem K-Fest 2024 nahezu täglich zeichne und male, fragte ich mich in steter Herausforderung, was das Schwierigste sein könnte, als Objektzeichnung bzw. als Stillleben zu zeichnen. Blüten stellen als organisches Objekt immer eine Aufgabe dar und Glas als Trägermaterial mit seiner Transparenz und seinen komplexen Spiegelungen. In meinem Kuriositäten-Kabinett fand ich einen Briefbeschwerer von Hafod Grange aus Großbritannien, die die Kunst beherrschen, eine fragile Pusteblume in eine Glaskugel zu setzen. Und dieses Objekt finde ich bereits absurd genug und als ideal, mich dieser Aufgabe zu stellen.

In einer Serie von 9 Zeichnungen zeige ich das gleiche Motiv wiederholt und immer in Abwandlung. Keine Pusteblume und kein Glaskörper gleicht mit seinen Spiegellungen dem anderen. In der optimalen Umsetzung nutzte ich für die Darstellung der Blume Bleistift und weißen Lackstift und in der Darstellung des Glaskörpers setzte ich die Spraytechnik eines Graffities um.

Since I have been drawing and painting almost daily since K-Fest 2024, I asked myself in constant challenge what could be the most difficult thing to draw as an object drawing or as a still life. Flowers are always a task as an organic object and glass as a carrier material with its transparency and complex reflections. In my cabinet of curiosities, I found a paperweight by Hafod Grange from Great Britain, who have mastered the art of placing a fragile dandelion in a glass ball. And I already find this object absurd enough and ideal to face this task.

In a series of 9 drawings, I show the same motif repeatedly and always in variation. No dandelion or vitreous body is like the other with its mirror lungs. In the optimal implementation, I used pencil and white touch-up pen for the depiction of the flower and in the depiction of the glass body, I implemented the spray technique of a graffiti.
